All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Cast | Cheong-san Is Alive

Yoon Chan-young walked onto a Netflix stage in Seoul last weekend and settled the question fans have argued about since 2022. The All of Us Are Dead season 2 cast greeted the crowd at Netflix Janchi, the company’s 10th anniversary fan festival, and Yoon told them Cheong-san is still alive. So who else is coming back to the zombie series, which actors are new, and which season 1 faces are missing from the list?

This guide sticks to the names Netflix itself has published. It uses Netflix’s Tudum production announcement from July 22, 2025, the season 1 cast guide on Tudum, the Netflix title page and the Netflix newsroom post on the October 24 to 25, 2026 festival. Stage remarks come from The Korea Times report on the event.

Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun and Lomon return as On-jo, Cheong-san, Nam-ra and Su-hyeok. Lee Min-jae, Kim Si-eun, Yoon Ga-i and Roh Jae-won are the four new names. Netflix still has not said how Cheong-san survived, or when the season premieres.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Cast | Cheong-san Is Alive

Who is in the All of Us Are Dead season 2 cast?

Netflix named eight actors when it announced on Tudum that season 2 had started production on July 22, 2025. Four are the surviving students from Hyosan High, played by the same actors as in 2022. The other four are new characters tied to the story’s move to Seoul, where On-jo is now a university student. No other cast names have come from Netflix since then, so lists online with extra actors are based on media reports, not Netflix.

The October 2026 festival did not add anyone. Netflix’s newsroom post of October 24 listed season 2 among the titles shown as a first look, next to Tantara, Possible Love and Solo Leveling. The Korea Times wrote that cast members including Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun and Lomon greeted fans there.

The table pairs each season 2 role with its actor and the credit Netflix uses to introduce them. Returning roles and credits come from the Tudum season 1 cast guide, and new roles from the July 2025 production announcement. Yoon Ga-i is the only actor Netflix lists without a past credit.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Cast | Cheong-san Is Alive

Is Cheong-san alive in All of Us Are Dead season 2?

Spoiler warning: this section and the next two describe how season 1 ends.

Cheong-san’s exit was the most painful moment of season 1. Tudum’s ending explainer recaps it: Gwi-nam bites him, he says goodbye to On-jo, the two finally kiss, and he lures the zombies away. The fight ends with Cheong-san and Gwi-nam falling down an elevator shaft as the military’s bomb hits Hyosan. Season 1 left his fate there, with no scene confirming his death or survival.

At Netflix Janchi, Yoon addressed it head-on, and The Korea Times quotes him telling fans, “You might have thought I was dead, but Cheong-san is still alive.” Netflix has not explained how he survived, and the Tudum synopsis only says Cheong-san, Nam-ra and Su-hyeok are each living with what the outbreak did to them. One detail is worth keeping in mind: Nam-ra survived the same blast while infected, so season 1 already set a precedent for the infected living on.

The four returning survivors, and where they left off

Park Ji-hu as Nam On-jo

Tudum describes On-jo as the daughter of a firefighter single father who taught her survival skills, and that father, Nam So-ju, dies saving the students in season 1. Season 2 opens with On-jo at university in Seoul, still carrying that loss, when a new outbreak breaks out in the city. She is the only returning character Netflix places at the center of the new story. Park got her break in the indie film House of Hummingbird, according to Tudum.

Yoon Chan-young as Lee Cheong-san

Cheong-san is On-jo’s childhood friend and neighbor, and Tudum calls him a protector who climbs walls and fights zombies hand to hand. Yoon is a former child actor whose credits include Doctor John and Nobody Knows. His stage comment is the only public hint about Cheong-san’s return, so treat theories about how he survived as fan guesses for now.

Cho Yi-hyun as Choi Nam-ra

Nam-ra is the class president with perfect grades and a lonely home life. By the finale she is infected but still thinking for herself, and Tudum notes she keeps her powers. She stays behind on the school rooftop, telling her friends there are others like her. Cho is known from Hospital Playlist, and Tudum notes her 2021 KBS award nomination with School 2021 co-star Kim Yo-han.

Lomon as Lee Su-hyeok

Su-hyeok, nicknamed Bare-su, is a former bully who turns into one of the group’s best fighters and protects Nam-ra. He makes it to the quarantine camp with On-jo, then goes back with her to find Nam-ra on the roof. His bond with Nam-ra is the thread most likely to tie the old and new outbreaks together, since both survived the first one in very different states. Tudum credited Lomon with Lookout and Sweet Revenge.

New All of Us Are Dead season 2 cast members

Three of the new actors play On-jo’s university friends: Lee Min-jae as Yong Ma-ru, Kim Si-eun as So Ju-ran and Yoon Ga-i as Lee Jong-ah. Netflix says the outbreak pulls the three into a fight for their lives alongside her. Lee Min-jae comes from Weak Hero: Class 2, another Netflix school series, and Kim Si-eun from Squid Game season 2.

Roh Jae-won brings a very different angle. He plays Han Doo-seok, a team leader inside the National Intelligence Service, which suggests the government side of the outbreak gets more screen time than the soldiers and officials of season 1. Netflix spells the name Han Doo-seok; some news sites write Han Du-seok, but it is the same character. Netflix credits Roh with Squid Game seasons 2 and 3.

Season 1 characters missing from the cast list

Several Hyosan High survivors are not on Netflix’s list. Tudum’s ending explainer says Ha-ri, Mi-jin, Hyo-ryeong and Dae-su also reach the camp. Ha-ri was played by Ha Seung-lee and Mi-jin by Lee Eun-saem, according to Tudum’s cast guide. Not being announced is not the same as being written out, since supporting roles are often revealed closer to a premiere.

Some exits are final. Gwi-nam, played by Yoo In-soo, goes down the elevator shaft with Cheong-san. Lee You-mi’s Na-yeon and Kim Byong-chul’s science teacher Lee Byeong-chan both die in season 1, per Tudum.

Who is behind the camera for season 2?

Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su return as directors, and Chun Sung-il writes the script again, according to the Tudum announcement. Netflix’s title page lists the same three as creators of the show. Netflix’s 10th anniversary post adds one more crew name: Baek Seung-min, who started as a second assistant on the lighting team for Kingdom, is the lighting director for season 2.

Release timing is a separate question, and Netflix had not announced a date as of the October 24 newsroom post. Our release date tracker sorts confirmed news from reports, so check the All of Us Are Dead season 2 release date guide for the timeline instead of repeating it here.

What happened at Netflix Janchi

Netflix Janchi ran on October 24 and 25, 2026 at Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo District, Seoul. Netflix’s newsroom post says Co-CEO Ted Sarandos joined the festival and revealed a first look at upcoming titles, with All of Us Are Dead season 2 among them. The Korea Times reported the cast greeting and Yoon’s comment.

The same stage hosted Song Hye-kyo, Gong Yoo and Kim Seol-hyun for Noh Hee-kyung’s series Tantara, and Byeon Woo-seok for the live-action Solo Leveling. If you came for the zombies, two other shows from that lineup are worth a look: our Tantara cast and release guide and the Solo Leveling watch guide.

Next step: add the season 1 title page to My List in your Netflix app, since new seasons usually appear there. For something to watch in the meantime, our Netflix K-drama picks by genre include thrillers.
