Nine to Six is the new K-drama that puts Park Min Young back in an office, and this time the office belongs to a car company. SBS has now fixed the date, and the cast list is longer than the three names on the poster. If you saw the news this week, you probably still have a few gaps: who plays whom, what the story actually is, and whether you can watch it outside Korea.
This Nine to Six K-drama guide fills those gaps with what SBS has published on its own program page and in its press releases, plus the streaming details that have been reported so far. Anything that has not been announced is marked as not announced, so you can tell a fact from a fan guess.
Nine to Six premieres on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 9 PM KST in SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama slot. Park Min Young plays legal team manager Kang Ji Yi, Yook Sungjae plays intern Han Seon Woo, and Go Soo plays executive Park Hyun Tae. Variety reports that Prime Video will stream it from the same day in more than 240 countries and territories.

Nine to Six premieres November 25 on SBS
SBS confirmed the date in a press release on October 26, 2026. The official SBS program page gives the same line: first episode on Wednesday, November 25, at 9 PM. SBS calls the series a new Wednesday-Thursday drama, so the second episode should follow on Thursday, November 26. Two episodes a week is the pattern to plan around, not one.
SBS has not printed an episode count on its program page. Variety, in its October 20 report on the Prime Video deal, describes Nine to Six as a 12-episode series. If that number holds and SBS keeps a steady two-a-week schedule, the run would last about six weeks. Broadcasters sometimes skip a week for sports or year-end shows, so treat any finale date you see online as a guess for now.
Nine to Six cast and characters
SBS first announced the three leads on March 24, 2026, and named the wider cast after the script reading on October 26. The roles below come from SBS press releases. English spellings follow Soompi-based reports such as Pinkvilla’s October 29 story; Variety writes the two leads as Kang Yi-ji and Han Sun-woo.
| Actor | Character | Role in the story, per SBS |
|---|---|---|
| Park Min Young | Kang Ji Yi | Deputy manager on the legal team at Chronic Motors, a workaholic who leads with logic |
| Yook Sungjae | Han Seon Woo | A warm, younger intern on the same legal team, a law graduate who worked as a jewelry designer first |
| Go Soo | Park Hyun Tae | Newly posted head of Chronic Motors Korea, an elite executive who judges people only by ability |
| Joo Hyun Young | Shin Ji Won | Ji Yi’s close younger friend, a full-time homemaker for seven years and her dating adviser |
| Jo Bok Rae | Jung Ki Tae | A master of office politics, competing with Ji Yi for the head of legal job |
Supporting cast named by SBS
The October 26 release lists eight more actors with their character names. Kim Mi Kyung plays Lee Kyung Sim, and SBS points out that she and Park Min Young have played mother and daughter in several earlier dramas. Jung Hae Kyun (Song Byung Je), Jo Bok Rae and Cha Chung Hwa (Lee Jung Eun) form what SBS calls an “office villain” trio of annoying bosses.
The rest of the list is Nam Yoon Ho as Lee Yong Woon, Choi Ji Su as Lim Eun Ha, Chun Woo Jin as Jung Tae Jun and Bae Yoo Ram as Kim Dong Seok. SBS has not described these four roles yet.

The story is a logic-first lawyer caught between two men
SBS sums the show up as an “on and off” work-life romance. A rational woman who has proved herself through work meets a kind, emotional man, and the two of them rewrite what work, love and happiness mean to them. The company setting is a fictional carmaker called Chronic Motors.
The March release adds a sharper detail about Kang Ji Yi. She believes dating and marriage come down to hormones, and her life starts to shake when she meets both Seon Woo and Hyun Tae. Variety’s report goes a little further: Ji Yi once wanted to study astronomy but went into law because her mother pushed her, and Hyun Tae has come back to Seoul from the company’s European headquarters. This is set up as a love triangle, with a gentle intern on one side and a demanding boss on the other.
Why Han Seon Woo is not a typical intern
Seon Woo studied law but chose to follow what he loved and worked as a jewelry designer. According to SBS’s October 27 release, an unexpected event pushes him into the Chronic Motors legal team. SBS describes him as having worked before, which gives him an ease that new hires usually lack.
What the title Nine to Six means
The title is the working day itself, 9 AM to 6 PM. The planning note on the SBS program page says that for some people those hours are just work time, for others they are time spent chasing a dream, and for others they are a day spent getting through while love and happiness wait. The drama says it does not offer one right answer to questions like whether to marry or have children.
That framing matters if you are choosing what to watch. Nine to Six is pitched less as a fantasy rom-com and more as an office drama about people choosing their own pace, with romance as the engine.
The comebacks behind the casting
Each lead brings a story of their own, and SBS leaned on those stories in its releases.
- Go Soo: SBS says this is his first romance in about 15 years. He plays the executive who quietly measures Ji Yi by her results.
- Park Min Young: SBS bills her as the queen of office romance, citing What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Forecasting Love and Weather and Marry My Husband.
- Yook Sungjae: SBS notes he returns to an SBS drama about a year after The Haunted Palace.
- Joo Hyun Young: she adds the comedy as the friend who coaches Ji Yi through dating.
If you want to catch up on Park Min Young before November 25, her best-known office romances are still streaming. Netflix lists What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and Forecasting Love and Weather in South Korea, and Amazon lists Marry My Husband on Prime Video.
The writer, directors and studios
The SBS program page credits Choi Ji O as writer and Lee Hyung Min and Oh Song Hee as directors. Variety lists Lee Hyung Min’s past work as Strong Girl Bong-soon, Miss Night and Day and I’m Sorry, I Love You, and Oh Song Hee’s as The Escape of the Seven. Studio S and Samhwa Networks produce the series, according to every SBS release.
What has not been announced yet
As of October 30, 2026, Netflix has not announced Nine to Six, and we found no Netflix title page for it. Viki and Disney+ have not announced it either. SBS has not posted a full character chart or episode run time. Prime Video is the only reported global streamer so far, and its own title page was not yet live when this guide was written.
Add November 25 and 26 to your calendar, and check the SBS page for episode count updates closer to the premiere.
