Dead-End Job Kdrama | Netflix Top 10 in 70+ Countries

The Dead-End Job kdrama went straight onto Netflix Top 10 lists across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia in its first weekend. That kind of spread makes people curious, and a horror series about cursed part-time work is an easy click. The harder question is whether it deserves eight evenings of your time, and whether the story ends or stops halfway.

Ranking charts do not answer that. You also want to know how long the episodes run, what each job looks like before you commit, and whether a second season is coming. This guide puts the ranking data, the episode list from Netflix’s own title page and the season 2 status in one place, and keeps plot details to the setting of each job.

Dead-End Job is a complete 8-episode run of about 5 hours, all released on Netflix on October 30, 2026. Netflix lists it as a Limited Series, and no season 2 has been announced. Watch it if you like rule-based horror where each episode is a new trap.

Dead-End Job Kdrama | Netflix Top 10 in 70+ Countries

Dead-End Job kdrama reached Netflix Top 10 lists in over 70 countries at launch

MyDramaList News reported on November 1, 2026 that Dead-End Job ranked in Netflix’s Top 10 in over 70 countries after its premiere. The figure comes from FlixPatrol, a site that tracks Netflix’s daily country charts. The report is by Lily Alice and you can read it in MyDramaList’s weekly ratings roundup.

The report names 25 of those markets and adds “among others.” They are Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Kuwait, Mexico, Nigeria, Oman, Peru, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam. That mix matters. A Korean horror show charting in Germany, Nigeria and Peru at the same time is not only a K-drama fan-base result.

Netflix’s own weekly chart has not caught up yet. As of November 2, 2026, the latest week on Netflix Tudum’s Top 10 page is October 19 to 25. The week that includes the October 30 premiere covers only three days of viewing, so its view count will look small next to shows that had a full week.

Some Korean outlets have reported second place on the global chart and first place in more than a dozen countries. Those numbers could not be checked against FlixPatrol’s own page for this guide, so they are left out here. The safe reading is the one above: a fast, wide start, with official totals still to come.

Eight episodes, eight jobs: the episode guide with settings only

Netflix’s title page lists 8 episodes, and the runtimes add up to 303 minutes. That is about five hours for the whole series, or one long weekend evening plus one more night. Each episode is built around a different gig from the same staffing agency, so the show moves fast and rarely stays in one place.

Light spoiler note: the table uses only the job setting from each episode, taken from Netflix’s own episode descriptions. It does not say who survives or how any job ends.

EpisodeTitle on NetflixRuntimeThe job
1Convenience Store Rules44 minConvenience store shift at 50 times minimum wage
2A Journey with a Pierrot40 minA gig with one rule: never lose sight of the clown
3Milkman Vlog38 minMilk delivery at 200 times minimum wage
4Midnight Fantasy Cinema40 minNight shift at a cinema
5Clinical Trial35 minClinical trial volunteer
6The Walls Don’t Talk33 minNight shift at a construction site
7Neo World After Dark37 minFairy-tale parade at a theme park
8Last Carnival36 minA carnival that brings the story together

Episode 4 is the one that shifts the focus. The lead’s younger sister, Ji-yoon, takes a night shift of her own, so the series stops being only about one man’s debt. Episodes 6 and 7 are where Netflix’s descriptions start to talk about the agency itself rather than a single job.

Release time and how to watch Dead-End Job outside Korea

All eight episodes went live together. Netflix’s title page sets the availability start at 08:00 UTC on October 30, 2026, and SBS reported on October 28 that the release was at 17:00 Korea time. In other time zones that was 04:00 Eastern in the US, 08:00 in London, 09:00 in Paris and 16:00 in Manila.

Netflix is the only platform. The Netflix newsroom announcement ends with “only on Netflix,” and the title page carries Netflix’s own ID 81997887. If a site offers it on another service, it is not an official stream.

The Korean-region title page, checked on November 2, 2026, lists Korean original audio plus English and Japanese dubs, with English and Korean subtitles. Your country’s page may list more subtitle languages, so open the Audio and Subtitles menu before you press play. The show is rated 19+ in Korea, and the age rating in your region may differ.

Who should watch Dead-End Job and who should skip it

The hook is simple. Hyeok-jun, played by Lee Jae-wook, is buried in debt and answers a flyer from the Spider Staffing Agency, where pay starts at 50 times the minimum hourly wage and the one rule is never to talk about the job. Netflix tags the show as offbeat, horror and survival, and that is an accurate label.

It suits viewers who enjoy horror built on rules: a list of instructions, one broken rule, and the price of breaking it. The episode-per-job shape helps here. You can stop after episode 1 and know whether the tone works for you, which is not true of slow-burn thrillers that need four hours to land.

Skip it if you came for Lee Jae-wook in romance mode. This is not Alchemy of Souls, and the 19+ rating in Korea signals violent, frightening scenes. Viewers who want a long mythology to chew on may also find eight episodes of 33 to 44 minutes a little thin. In that case a longer series is the better choice for the week.

The cast around him is the reason to stay. Ko Min-si plays Yeon-joo, Kim Min-ha plays his sister Ji-yoon, and Lee Hee-jun plays the head of the agency. Director Kim Da-min wrote the Netflix series A Killer Paradox, and creator Han Jun-hee is known for D.P.

Season 2 has not been announced, and Netflix lists it as a Limited Series

As of November 2, 2026, Netflix has not announced a second season of Dead-End Job. There is no renewal post on the Netflix newsroom, and the title page shows one season. Articles that give a season 2 release window are guessing.

The stronger signal is the label. Netflix’s title page calls Dead-End Job a Limited Series, a format it uses for stories planned as one run. The final episode’s description asks whether Hyeok-jun can “finally quit his dead-end job for good,” which reads like an ending rather than a cliffhanger set-up.

Lee Jae-wook is also not available right now. SBS reported that he sent a video message to the October 28 press conference because he is serving in the military. Netflix has not said anything about future plans with him or the creative team, so treat any return date you see online as speculation.

What can change this is the data. Netflix’s weekly Top 10 for the first full week, November 2 to 8, will show whether the opening holds. If it does, an announcement would come from the Netflix newsroom first.

What to do next

Watch episode 1 and decide from there; it is the clearest sample of what the other seven feel like. Dead-End Job kdrama FAQ

Does Dead-End Job have an English dub?

Yes. The Korean-region Netflix page lists English audio alongside the Korean original and a Japanese dub. Check the Audio menu in your region, because dub lists can vary by country.

When will Netflix publish official viewing numbers for Dead-End Job?

Netflix updates its Tudum Top 10 every Tuesday. The first chart that includes the show covers October 26 to November 1, with only three days after the premiere. The week of November 2 to 8 is the first full week and the better test of its pull.

Can I watch Dead-End Job one episode a week?

You can, but nothing forces you to. All 8 episodes were released together on October 30, 2026, so the full series is already on Netflix. Each episode centers on a different job, which makes it easy to pause between them.
